Services will be held for Molly Cox on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Dr. Dan Howard officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00-8:00 p.m.  Interment will be in Cedarlawn Cemetery.    Mrs. Molly Williamson Cox, age 90, passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018. She was born January 4, 1928 in Philadelphia, Mississippi. She loved God, family, and teaching.Mrs. Cox graduated with a Education (English, Music) degree from Mississippi College in 1949. She earned her Masters Degree from Mississippi State in 1958. She began teaching in 1949 and retired in 1994 after 45 years. Her career included teaching at Bond, Longino, Philadelphia High, Bogue Chitto Elementary, and Neshoba Central. She also served as a member and an officer of Delta Kappa Gamma.From early childhood, Mrs. Cox was an active member of First Baptist Church of Philadelphia where she served in the Sunday school and music ministries. Special to her was her Sunday school class, Genesis, and the teacher, Mrs. Linda Murray.Mrs. Cox was privileged to accompany her husband as he represented the Lions Clubs at State and National conventions throughout the United States.Mrs. Cox is survived by her husband of 69 years, Wallace Cox; her son Bill Cox (Rhonda Cochran) of Marietta, GA. She is also survived by her sister, Marie Davis of Grenada, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Lillie Williamson as well as her brother-in-law, Roscoe Davis and her cherished niece, Nancy Davis Granholm.
