Services for Mrs. Millie Ann Smith will be held  Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. David Sellers officiating.  Burial will follow in Hester Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 18, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at McClain-Hays Funeral Home.  McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Smith, 85, died Monday, December 16, 2019. Mrs. Millie was very independent and loved to cook for her family.  The family would like to thank Northpoint Rehab Center/Nursing Home and Sta-Home Hospice of Meridian MS. She is survived by her brother, Buddy Stewart; nephew, Alvin (Patsy) Smith; niece, Pam (C.D.) Watkins; great niece, Misty Smith. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Smith; son, James Allen Smith; brothers, Bill and Doc Stewart; sisters, Macie Brown and Peggy Smith. Pallbearers are Barry Smith, B. J. Gough, Caleb Smith and Doug Bates.
