Funeral services for Mr. Millard Lloyd, 83, are as follows: Visitation will be held on Saturday May 13, 2023 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home and funeral service will be held on on Sunday May 14, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Dwight Fleming and Rev. Scott Boatner officiating. Interment will be in the Plattsburg Cemetery in Noxapater. Mr. Lloyd was born August 22, 1939, to his parents, Andrew Matthew Lloyd and Myrtle Sims Lloyd, in Spotsylvania, VA. He passed away at Anderson Regional Medical Center on Thursday, May 11, 2023. Mr. Lloyd lived most of his life in the Plattsburg Community. He was retired from Factory Direct Carpet of Philadelphia, MS. He served in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Germany. He was a member of Plattsburg Baptist Church. Survivors include his son, Bobby (Shelia) Lloyd; two grandchildren, Robby (Kassie) Lloyd and Missy (Matt) Young; five great-grandchildren, Kody and Kyler Young and Zack, Taylor, and Katie Lloyd. He is also survived by one sister, Betty Purnell, and one brother, Timothy (Darlene) Lloyd, along with his nieces and nephews, Jeffery Purnell, Mark Alan Purnell, and Laurie Purnell. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Bertha Lloyd; parents; two brothers, Robert and Ted; one brother-in-law, Don Purnell; and his nephew, Larry Purnell. Pallbearers are Robby Lloyd, Zack Lloyd, Kody Young, Kyler Young, Jeffery Purnell, and Freddy McBrierty.
