Graveside services for Mildred Spears Estes will be held Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at 11 a. m. from Cedarlawn Cemetery with Dr. Dan Howard officiating. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Estes, 97, of Union, died Sunday, June 21, 2020, at her home. She was a native of Neshoba County and a graduate of Bloomo High School. A resident of Metairie, LA, for 50 years, she was owner/operator of Marie’s Beauty Salon in Metairie until she retired. Mildred and her husband, Everett, moved back to Neshoba County in 2000. She enjoyed quilting and gardening. Mrs. Estes was a member of First Baptist Church in Philadelphia. Survivors include her husband, Everett Estes of Union; sister, Frances Branning of Philadelphia; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Estes was preceded in death by parents, Martin and Sarah Spears; two sisters, Sadie Gray and Eloise Stovall; two brothers, William Spears and Eldrid Spears. Pallbearers are Bill Gilley, Max Loper, Jim Johnson, David Bailey, Willie Jackson, and Bob Henson.
