Mildred Elaine Risher

Services for Mildred Elaine Risher will be held Saturday, July 13, 2019, at 11 a. m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Chris Young officiating.  Burial will follow in Cedarlawn Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Saturday from 9 a. m. until time of service at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Mrs. Risher, 93, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, July 7, 2019, at Neshoba County Nursing Home. A native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County, she was the wife of the late John Risher, and together they owned and operated Risher Radio Supply & Risher Wholesale.  She was a past member of the Philadelphia Women’s Club and the VFW Auxiliary.  Mrs. Risher was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Philadelphia.  Survivors include granddaughter, Celeste Bennett (Sam) of Hattiesburg; grandson, Jonathan Risher of Hattiesburg; great-grandchildren, Annagrace Bennett, Alivia Bennett and Aubree Bennett; daughter-in-law, Laurie Risher of Preston; sister, Willie Mae Carson of Lake Park, GA; nephew, Dewayne Carson; and numerous other nieces and nephews. Mrs. Risher was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, John Risher; daughter, Donna Risher; son, Steve Risher; parents, James and Myrtle Madison; brothers, Jack Madison and Lamar Madison; and sister, Hilda Madison. Pallbearers are Keith Page, John Gipson, Richard Risher, Dewayne Carson, Eric Prince, Sam Bennett and Jonathan Risher.  Honorary pallbearers are Joe Mac Risher, George Saxon, Gus Soriano , Robert Risher and Larry Stribling.
