Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2022, from McClain-Hays Chapel. Visitation will be Monday, October 17, 2022 from 5-8 p.m. at McClain-Hays. Interment will be in the Sandtown Cemetery. Rev. John Branning and Rev. Hal Hall will officiate. Mike Allen, 64, of Philadelphia, MS died Friday, October 14, 2022 at UMMC in Jackson. Mr. Allen was a native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County. He graduated from Neshoba Central High School in 1976, and attended East Central Community College. He worked as a Cattle/Poultry Farmer until he retired. He served as supervisor for District 2 of Neshoba County for 12 years. He was a member of Sandtown United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going to the ball games. He especially loved playing with his grandkids most of all. Survivors include his wife of 44 years; Amy Burnside Allen of Philadelphia; 3 daughters, Ashley Richardson (Brice) of Philadelphia, Emily Smith (Nick) of Brandon, Megan Reedy (Justin) of Flowood; four grandchildren, Pierce Richardson, Baylor Richardson, Cooper Smith and Maggie James Reedy; two brother-in-laws, Elliot Burnside (Janet) of Jacksonville, Fl., Mark Burnside of Ft Worth, TX. Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his parents, James and Sue Allen; father and mother in law, P.F. and Margorie Burnside; brother in law, Edsel Burnside. Pallbearers are Randy Allen, Robert McDonald, Thomas Allen, Rick Allen, Brian Anderson, Brady Anderson, Eli Anderson.
