Funeral services for Michael Williams will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at 3 p.m. from the First Pentecostal Church with Bro. Tim Vowell officiating. Burial will follow in Cedarlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2023 from 1 p.m. until service time at the First Pentecostal Church. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Williams, 55, of Collinsville, died Friday, January 27, 2023. Michael enjoyed playing paintball, golfing, putting out fires, cheering on the Ole Miss Rebels, collecting remote control cars and he was a certified scuba diver. He was active in the Air National Guard for 35 years and 11 months and was a Master Sergeant. Mr. Williams was a member of the First Pentecostal Church for 22 years and he sang in the choir and participated in other activities. He played guitar and never met a stranger and always had a story to tell. Survivors include his daughter, Destini Williams (Taylor Flake) of Philadelphia; son, Laiklon Williams (Camrie Holley) of Philadelphia; mother, Rachel Boler of Collinsville; sister, Martha Reynolds (Ledale) of Philadelphia; brothers, Mark Williams (Ashley) of Biloxi and Steven Williams (Chastity) of Collinsville; great-aunt, Lorene Cranage; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews and their families and friends. Mr. Williams is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Williams; grandparents, Ethel and Geneva Williams and Elton and Barnie Winstead. Pallbearers are, Brian Moore, Jacob Moore, Josh Moore, Taylor Flake, Keenan Hellesto and Ledale Reynolds.
