Michael Blount

Michael Lynn Blount, 70, born October 14, 1950, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020, from complications of kidney and liver failure. The family requests you dress casual and come to celebrate Mike’s life at McClain-Hays Funeral Home, 1002 East Main Street, Philadelphia, MS 39350, on January 9, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. Mike was preceded in death by parents, Vallon and Roxie Blount; a sister, Judie Gullett; and a son, Joseph Blount. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Jo Blount; two brothers, Jimmie Blount and Dorcy “Steed” Blount. Memorial contributions may be made to charity of the donator’s choice.
