Graveside service for Michael Bagwell will be held at 12 noon Saturday, August 29, 2020, from Hester Cemetery/Smith Chapel with Bro. Glenn Scott officiating. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is charge of arrangements. Michael Bagwell, 60, of Denham Springs, LA, passed away Thursday, August, 20, 2020, in Athens, TX. He was born September 22, 1959, in Meridian, MS. He was a truck driver for McDonald Trucking. He loved to fish, but more than anything, he loved his daughters and grandchildren. He never met a stranger and impacted everyone he ever met. He was loved by all and will be truly missed. Survivors include his two daughters, Heather Joy Bagwell of Denham, LA, and Taylor “Bug” Bagwell and boyfriend, Zane Zimmerle of Prairieville, LA; two brothers, David Bagwell and wife Milvia Filgueria of Denham Springs, LA, Billy Bagwell and wife Sue of Philadelphia, MS; two grandchildren, Aiden LeBlanc and Kaia Bagwell; his lifelong friend and mother of his children, Mary Bagwell; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Joy Maxine Wells of Philadelphia, MS; father, Richard Bagwell of Denham Springs, LA; and brother, John Richard Bagwell of Port Allen, LA. Pallbearers are Ricky Bagwell, Justin Bagwell, Dustin Bagwell, Kristopher Bagwell, David James Bagwell, and Cody Bagwell.
