Services for Mrs. Melva D. Burton will be held Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at 12:30 pm from Sandtown United Methodist Church with the Rev. Anthony Miller and Rev. Hal Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Sandtown Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, January 13, 2020 from 5 pm until 8 pm at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Mrs. Burton, 94, of Philadelphia, died Saturday, January 11, 2020. She was a native of Neshoba County and longtime resident of the Sandtown Community. She was retired from Wells Lamont Glove Factory. Mrs. Burton was a member of Sandtown United Methodist Church and a former choir member and Sandtown Christianaires and share groups. Survivors include her daughters, Janice Smith (Truett) of Brandon, MS ; Teresa Wolfe (Benny) of Philadelphia, MS; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Willis Moore of Franklin, LA; and a host of nieces and nephews and their families. Preceded in death by her husband, Willard Burton; daughter, Charlotte Kilpatrick; grandchild, Kim Kilpatrick; parents, Pat and Nettie Moore; eight brothers and sisters. Pallbearers are Joe Kilpatrick, Randy Clark, Johnny Williamson, Toby Andrews, Roger Garza and Drew Garza.
