Funeral services for Max Chisolm will be held Monday, December 5, 2022 at 11 a.m. from McClain-Hays Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Cloys and Bro. Tommie Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Cedarlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, December 4, 2022 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Mr. Chisolm, 84, of Philadelphia died Saturday, December 3, 2022. Max was a native and longtime resident of Neshoba County. He worked as a welder and was formerly employed by RG LeTourneau of Vicksburg, Ingalls Shipyard, MS State as a welding instructor, Mobile Chemical LP Refinery, Hunt Refining, Yates Construction and most recently owned and operated Chisolm Welding Services in Philadelphia. His hobbies were refurbishing John Deere and Ford Tractors and he could fix anything and was a jack of all trades. He loved his family, kids and grandkids. Mr. Chisolm was a member of East Philadelphia Baptist Church where he served as deacon and on the building and grounds committee for several years and was a member of the local Gideon International Chapter, Lay Renewal Team and the Neshoba Gideons Camp. Survivors include his wife Pat Chisolm of Philadelphia; children, Pam Spears, Linda (Toby) Stovall and Mike (Jan) Chisolm; grandchildren; Danyelle (Brian) Murphey, Matthew (Jessie) Stokes, Ben (Crystal) Stovall, Megan (Bryan) Rigsby, Jon Morgan and Brittany Chisolm; great-grandchildren; Bay Leigh Watkins, A.J. Watkins, Tyler Bray, Ethan Walker, Kody Drake, Taylor Walker, Gracie Rigsby, Colton Barrett, Aubree Stokes, Rae Leigh Stovall, Harper Stovall and Hayden Stovall; great-great grandchild; Braylee Drakes; sisters; Peggy Thomas, Shirley Barnes and Carol Gilmore Lane. Mr. Chisolm was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Chisolm; father, Dewitt “Boots” Chisolm; mother, Vesta Chisolm.
