Maudie Sharp

Graveside services for Maudie Sharp will be held Wednesday, May 6, 2020, at 3:00 p. m. from the Pine Grove Cemetery at House with Rev. Rusty Walton officiating. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Sharp, 84, died Sunday, May 3, 2020, at Choctaw Residential Center. She was a native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County. She was owner of Maudie’s Daycare for several years until retirement. Survivors include daughter, Patsy Diane Sharp of Union; son, Joseph Mitchell “Joe” Sharp (Karen) of Brandon; grandchildren, Joanna Charlene Cohn (Chad), Jillian Claire Carmody (Jeff), Joseph Wesley Sharp (Terri), and Lauren Michelle Sharp (Greg); great-grandchildren, Conner Cohn, Madison Carmody, Grayson Carmody, Rorie Carmody, Mickenzie Mclendon, Hunter Mclendon, Miguel Downs, Nathan Sharp and Josh Sharp; sisters, Paulette Hicks of Jackson, SC, and Frances Clarity of Columbus, MS; and brother, A. J. Dunn of Los Angeles, CA. Mrs. Sharp was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Joseph “Clinton” Sharp; two sisters, Bonnie Withers and Mattie McNeal; and three brothers, Odell Dunn, Charles Dunn and Dee Dunn. Pallbearers are Brian Graham, John Clark, Waynie Withers, Jeff Carmody, Greg Mclendon and Greg Hardy. Honorary pallbearers are Alvis Apperson and Willie Charles Smith.
