Services for Marylon Dufrene will be held Thursday, October 15, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. from Coye Assembly of God Church in Kemper County with Rev. Lawrence Pool and Rev. Ryan Farmer officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Dufrene, 83, of Preston, died Monday, October 12, 2020, at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian. She was a native of West Texas and a resident of the Preston Community for the past 21 years. She was a retired bookkeeper. Mrs. Dufrene was a member of Coye Assembly of God Church. Survivors include husband, Bro. Achan Dufrene of Collinsville; children, Denise Cumberland of Collinsville, Greg (Kyla) Dufrene of Edmond, OK, Kaye (Tim) Miles of Collinsville; grandchildren, Teresa (James) Williamson, Amber (Ian) Thompson, Brittany (Alvis) Mitchell, Caleb Dufrene, McKenna Dufrene, Lauren (Mikeal) Evans, Terrie (Trevor) Bourgeois Boling, Michael Miles; six great-grandchildren; and sister, Cheryl Border. Mrs. Dufrene was preceded in death by parents, Alvin and Verda Mae Williams; brother, Al Williams, and great-grandchild Isaac McGraw. Pallbearers are Tim Miles, Alvis Mitchell, Mikeal Evans, Caleb Dufrene, Trevor Boling and Jeff Markum.
