Mary W. Tullos

Graveside services for Mary W. Tullos will be held Monday, October 28, 2024 at 1 p.m. from Cedarlawn Cemetery with Rev. Jonathan Tullos officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, October 28, 2024 from 10 a.m. until service time at McClain-Hays Funeral Home.

Ms. Tullos, 98, of Philadelphia died Friday, October 25, 2024.

Ms. Mary was born to George and Geneva Tolbert Willis and was raised in Neshoba County.  In June of 1943 she married James E. Tullos and they resided here their entire lives. She retired after many years of service from the Neshoba County Tax Collector’s Office. She loved to garden, her bird feeders and bird houses, to follow High School basketball teams and MSU. She was known as a wonderful cook and loved to entertain guests. In her younger days she loved attending her son’s school activities, football and band. Ms. Tullos attended Linwood Baptist Church and Goodhope Baptist Church when she was able. Ms. Mary dearly loved her family and she will be missed.

Survivors include her son, Don Tullos (Brenda); daughter-in-law, Tanya Tullos; grandchildren, Sonja Tullos Smith, Sandi Tullos, Mary K. Hardy, Jonathan Tullos (Jessica), Liz Tullos and Michael Tullos; 11 great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and their families.

Ms. Tullos was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Tullos; son, Willis E. Tullos; parents, George and Geneva Willis; sister, Ruby Pearson; brothers, Roy, Huey, Terry and Ethel Willis.

Pallbearers Michael Tullos, Rudolph Dunn, Undeon Hardy, Jakobe Hardy, Gerald Ridout and Johnny Stuart.

In lieu of flowers family requests a memorial gift be made to a favorite charity, church or religious organization.
