Mary Frances Watkins

Services for Mrs. Mary Frances Watkins will be held Friday, December 14, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Michael Wells officiating. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Friday, December 14, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at McClain-Hays Chapel.  McClain-Hays Funeral is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Watkins, 94, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, December 12, 2018. She was a native of Scott County and a resident of Neshoba County most of her adult life.  She retired from Neshoba County Nursing Home as a Nurses Aide.  Mrs. Watkins was a member of Carolina Presbyterian Church in Dowdville. Survivors include her son, C. D. Watkins (Sissie) of Collinsville; grandchildren, Francie Horton, and Misty Smith; great-grandchildren, Madison Hayes and Kristen Hayes; sister, Bobbie Barnett of Jackson; special friends Paula Clearman, Janet and Larry Thrash all of Philadelphia; special caregiver, Lillie Fulton of Philadelphia; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Watkins was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Carl “Kerneal” Watkins; parents, Payton and Florence Denton; sister, Wauldine Denton; brother, Cecil Denton.
