Services for Mary Dean Cumberland will be held Monday, October 28, 2019, at 11 a. m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Chris Wells officiating. Burial will follow in Cedarlawn Cemetery. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Cumberland, 74, of Philadelphia, died Saturday, October 26, 2019, at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian. She was a native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County. She worked as a machine operator for Garan garment factory until her retirement. Survivors include sons, Sam Cumberland, Jr. (Dorothy), Pete Cumberland, Terry L. Cumberland (Mattie), all of Philadelphia; four grandchildren, Chris Wells, Amber Dearing (Bo), Marshall Cumberland, Charles Cumberland; four great-grandchildren, Blair Wells, Annelyse Wells, Ava Dearing, Colton Dearing; sister, Venie Parker of Pelahatchie; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Cumberland was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Cumberland, Sr.; parents, Bob and Josie Culberson; sister, Thelma Ludlow; brothers, J. C. Culberson, A. J. Culberson, B. J. Culberson, Alfred Ray Culberson, and Earl Dewayne Culberson. Pallbearers are Marshall Cumberland, Charles Cumberland, Cody Parker, Bo Dearing, Jimmy Dale Smith and Mike Hardy.
