Services for Mary Clark Grimes will be held Saturday, November 10, 2018, at 2 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Bro. Gary Rivers and Bro. Benny Buckley officiating. Burial will follow in Good Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, November 10, 2018, from 12 p.m. until service time of service at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. McClain-Hays is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Grimes, 91, of Philadelphia, died Monday, November 5, 2018. She was a native of the Dixon Community in Neshoba County. She enjoyed reading, cooking, and being with her family. She worked in the office of Rea Brothers Mid-South Car Auction for many years. Mrs. Grimes was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church where she had taught Sunday School and was the church pianist. Survivors include her daughters, Ellen Calvery of Vicksburg, Amy Rea (Kenny) of Madison; grandchildren, Clark Calvery of Philadelphia, Todd (Joy) Rea of Chattanooga, TN, and Macy Rea (Walton) Thompson of Spanish Fort, AL; three great-grandchildren, Addisan Shrum, Summer Rea, and Jacob Rea of Chattanooga, TN; sister-in-law, Maggie Hillman of Philadelphia; and a host of nieces and nephews and their families. Preceded in death by her first husband of 49 years, Billy Clark; second husband, Sam Grimes; brothers, J.C. Hillman and Charlie Hillman; sisters, Dena Gardner, Eleaner Cannon, Ruth Pullin, and Retha Jay; son-in-law, Lloyd Calvery. Pallbearers are Larry Adkins, Ricky Bengs, Glen Cook, Marty Sistrunk, Billy Thaggard and Terry Watkins. Honorary pallbearers, and deacons of Good Hope Baptist Church, are Terry Adkins, Ricky McDonald and Tommy Smith. Also serving as honorary pallbearers are Willis O’Berry, Burt O’Berry, Jimmy Rea and Rayburn Waddell. The family wishes to thank Atwood Assisted Living of Noxapater and Hospice Ministries of Ridgeland for their devoted service.
