Mary Roberta Warren Chesney

Services for Mary Roberta Warren Chesney will be held Friday, July 19, 2019, at 2 p.m. from Smith’s Chapel Community Church in Neshoba County with Pastor Jeannie Hampton, Mr. Glenn Scott and Mr. Sheldon Fox officiating.  Burial will follow in Hester Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Thursday, July 18, 2019, from 5 until 8 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home and from 1 p.m. Friday until time of service at the church.  McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Chesney, 71, of the House Community in Neshoba County, died Sunday, July 14, 2019, at Specialty Hospital of Meridian.  She was born and raised in Kemper County and a longtime resident of Neshoba County.  She was a lifetime seamstress for Wells-Lamont, Garan, and Nemanco.  Mrs. Chesney was a follower of Christ for 57 years and a member of Smith’s Chapel Church of God of Prophecy. Survivors include four children, Kevin (Vicky), Stanley, Johnny of Collinsville, MS, and Allen (Kellie) of Hemet, CA; five sisters, Regeina Gilmer, Rebecca Warren, Adeline (Sheldon) Fox of Philadelphia, MS, Dorothy George and Hazel Scitzs of Collinsville, MS; two brothers, David (Barbara) and Dale Warren of Union, MS; numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Mrs. Chesney was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Glenn; parents, L. C. and Maryline Warren; and brother, Ronald L. Warren. Pallbearers are Kevin Baysinger, Chad Baysinger, Tommy Bane, Buddy Stern, Sonny Russell, Al Smith, Paul Gilbert and Josh Scott.  Honorary pallbearer is Tracy Huggins.
