Visitation for Mary Beth Skipper will be held Sunday, May 30, 2021 from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements . Mrs. Skipper, 63, of Union, died Friday, May 28, 2021. She was a native of Meridian and longtime resident of House Community of Neshoba County. She formally worked in nursing at Laird’s Hospital, East MS State Hospital, Neshoba General Nursing Home and Queen City Nursing Home in Meridian. Mrs. Skipper was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Wallace “Skip” Skipper of Union; daughter, Amy (Sean) Sartin of Jayess; nine grandchildren, Emilio (Madison) Suarez, Jon Pass, Jordan Yates, David Slaton, Alex Sartin, John Ellis (Breanna) Anthony, Hunter (Daniel) Burns, Hope (Alex) Parton and J.T. Tucker; 4 great-grandchildren, Asher Suarez, Eli Anthony, Kennadie Tucker and Olen Herrington; mother, Sara E. Smith; mother-in-law, Jo Ella Skipper; sisters, Sarita (Brad) Rainey and Susan Smith; brothers, Johnnie (Donna) Smith, Luke (Christina) Smith and Bobbie Slaton; numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Mrs. Skipper was preceded in death by her son, John Anthony; father, Junior Smith; sister, Hazel Thorp.
