Graveside services for Miss Bea Thornton will be held Saturday, August 25, 2018, at 1p.m. at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Leake County with Rev. Brian Weir officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 25, 2018 from 10a.m. until 12:30p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home.  McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Thornton, 72, of Madden, died Wednesday, August 22, 2018.She was a native and lifelong resident of the Madden community in Leake County. Miss Thornton was Baptist by faith and attended Laurel Hill Baptist Church in Carthage. Survivors include sisters, Joy Yerian and Audrey Enlow of Madden; brothers, Fred Thornton of Brandon, Ms., Mark Thornton of Palestine, Tx, Hilton Thornton of Madden; numerous nieces and nephews and their families. Miss Thornton was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Odessa Thornton; sister, Gaye Walker; brothers, Doug, Stanley, and Miller Thornton.
