Funeral services for Martha Tolbert Bennett will be held Thursday, October 13, 2022 at 2 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Don Savell officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2022 from 4 until 8 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Ms Bennett, 76, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, October 9, 2022. Martha Ann Tolbert Bennett was born and raised in Neshoba County and graduated from Neshoba Central High School in 1964. She received a one year business degree from East Central Community College in 1965 and worked for a time as an administrative secretary at US Motors. She later received her cosmetology license and opened her own beauty shop in the Arlington Community. She also owned and managed her own poultry farm for many years. She enjoyed being outdoors and working with the many beautiful flowers in her yard. However, her greatest joy and lifelong mission was raising her three children and later her greatest delight came in the form of loving and spoiling her grandchildren. Ms Bennett was a member of Arlington Baptist church. She is survived by her son, Michael Bennett (Trish) of Philadelphia; daughters, Karen Williamson (Shannon) of Philadelphia and Patricia Rucker (Leon) of Vaughan; grandchildren, Anna Kaye Bennett, Steryot Holland, Peyton Williamson (Sydney), Brenton Williamson, Ashton Rucker and Olivia Rucker; sister, Diane Skinner (Rudy) of Moss Point; and a host of nieces and nephews. Ms. Bennett was preceded in death by her parents, Elzie and Bernice Hill Tolbert. Pallbearers are, Peyton Williamson, Brenton Williamson, Brad Skinner, Ryan Skinner, Mark Yates, Michael Duke, Chas Robinson and Landon Bounds. Honorary Pallbearers are, Britt Bennett, Heath Bennett and Thad Bennett. In Lieu of Flowers family request all memorials be made to Arlington Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
