Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. from Cooks Chapel Cemetery with Reverend Betty Melton officiating. Mrs. Marlene Luke Madison , 90, of Preston passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023. Mrs. Marlene loved her kids and grandkids, cooking , watching Game Show Network. her dogs were her constant companions and she spoiled them rotten. Her time working at East MS Community College was a source of joy , with wonderful coworkers and students that considered her a second mom. Mrs. Marlene is survived by her children, Suzanne (Brenda) Madison, Penne (Mike) Swearingen, Robbi (Tim) Caldwell; grandchildren, Bryan (Courtney)Swearingen, Tyler (Lindsey) Swearingen, Chandler Swearingen, Grace (Jonah) Schmidt; greatgrandchild, Gryffin Swearingen; a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lamar "Shorty" Madison; parents, Clinton and Mavis Luke; brother, Ralph Luke; sister, Charlotte Gillis; nephew, Luke Gillis. Pallbearers are Chad Gillis, Joshua Gillis, Chandler Swearingen, Bryan Swearingen, Ray Pardue, Jonah Schmidt. Honorary Pallbearers areTim Caldwell and Mike Swearingen
