Lois Marie "Maw Toad" Lovern

June 18, 1932 — April 17, 2018

Services for Mrs. Marie "Maw Toad" Pope Lovern will be held Friday, April 20, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. from New Zion United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Randall Dunaway, Rev. Jason Martin, Rev. Wesley Lovern and Rev. Chris Richardson officiating.   Visitation will be held Thursday April 19, 2018 from 5:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at New Zion Pentecostal Church and also Friday April 20, 2018, from 7:00 A.M. until time of service at New Zion Pentecostal Church. Interment will be in Henry's Chapel Cemetery.Marie Lovern was a lifelong resident of Neshoba County where she resided in the Fork Community.  She was a homemaker all her life where she enjoyed babysitting the neighborhood children, gardening, and yard work.  She took care of her late husband due to illness for 18 years.  Her goals in life were providing for her family, attending church, and making it to HEAVEN.  She attended New Zion UPC all her life.  She loved church, gospel music, and cooking.  She always had something baking. She is survived by her children, Lyvone (Pat) Lovern of Philadelphia, Charles (Judy) Lovern of Philadelphia, Harold (Wanda) Lovern of Philadelphia, Rose (Danny) Prewitt of Philadelphia, June Braddock of Philadelphia, Ralph Lovern of Union, Bobby Joe Lovern of Philadelphia and Dawn Feasel of Philadelphia.  She had 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren, with great-grandchild, Otto, and great-great grandchild, Marley, on the way; sister, Margie Watkins of Philadelphia; brother, Bobby Pope of Philadelphia; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lovern was preceded in death by her husband, Edd Lovern; grandson, Trey Feasel; mother, Willie C. Pope; father, Author Pope; sisters, Marvine Lovern and Ruby Holley; and brothers, Kenneth Pope, Fat Tom Pope, Rudon Pope and Earsel Pope. Pallbearers are Jason Lovern, Josh Lovern, Anthony Lovern, LaShane Lovern, Rocky Prewitt, Randy Prewitt, Eron Benson, Avery Lovern, Conner Lovern and Hagon Feasel.
