Macie Lee Rushing

Funeral services for Macie Lee Rushing will be held Friday, December 2, 2022 at 2 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Tom Bentley officiating. Burial will follow in Sandhill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Mrs. Rushing, 85, of Philadelphia died Tuesday, November 29, 2022. Macie was a native of Neshoba County and a longtime resident of Arlington Community. She formerly worked at Wells-Lamont. Her hobby was sewing and she loved seamstress work. Mrs. Rushing was a member of Arlington Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Betty Nicholson of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Tegan Nicholson Pettis, Amber Maxwell and Jimmy Dale Alexander; great-grandchildren, Ethan Nicholson, Jaidda Pettis, Walynn Pettis, Delta Pettis, Alyssa Maxwell, Frances Maxwell, Olyvia Nicholson and William “Duke” Maxwell; sisters, Jean Tartley, Barbara Nelson, Carolyn Hart and Becky Adams; brothers, Henry Conn and Aubrey Conn; several nieces, nephews and their families. Mrs. Rushing was preceded in death by her husband, O.C. Rushing; son, Terry Rushing; Infant baby boy Rushing; brothers, Ovett, Thomas and Jimmy Conn; sister, Mary Rushing.
