UNTIL DEPARTUREMCCLAIN-HAYS FUNERAL HOME Graveside services for Mabel Burkes Lang will be held Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at 2 p.m. from Burkes Cemetery in Kemper County with Rev. Jack Kern and Rev. Chris Gully officiating. Mrs. Lang, 85, of Dekalb, died Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at Mississippi Care Center in Dekalb. She was a native and lifelong resident of Kemper County and longtime Jackson Road Community resident. Mrs. Lang was a member of Mamie’s Chapel Pentecostal Church. Survivors include husband, Raymond Odell Lang of Dekalb; daughter, Rosa “Grace” King of Dekalb; three grandchildren, Scarlett Stevens, Carla Walton and George Raymond King; 14 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great grandchildren; sister, Rosie Lee McReynolds (Charles) of Dekalb; numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Mrs. Lang was preceded in death by parents, Edgar and Rosie Burkes; four sisters and six brothers.
