Graveside services for Lynda Marie Johnson will be held Wednesday, May 20, 2020, at 4:00 p.m. from Cedarlawn Cemetery in Philadelphia with Dr. Mike Carr officiating. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Johnson, 77, died Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at Lighthouse Rehabilitation & Healthcare in Selma, AL. Lynda was born and raised in Neshoba County, MS. She retired after 47 years of working as a registered nurse. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Survivors include son, Dr. Richard Johnson (Leigh) of Selma, AL; son, John Wells of Gainesville, GA; grandchildren, Olivia Wells of Hattiesburg, MS, Rachel Johnson and Jack Johnson, both of Selma, AL; sister, Beth Lewis Gipson of Meridian, MS; and brother, John Gipson of Newton, MS. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by husband, Keith Johnson; and parents, Ovett and Ethel Gipson. Pallbearers are Jay Gipson, Brad Gipson, Mike Tinsley, Thomas Tinsley, Rex Rounsaville and Steve Murray.
