Lula Pearl Bounds

Services for Mrs. Lula Pearl Bounds will be held Thursday, December 19, 2019, at 12:00 noon from McClain-Hays Chapel with the Rev. Nels Norris and Rev. Michael Wells officiating.  Burial will follow in Sandtown Cemetery in Neshoba County.   Visitation will be held Thursday, December 19, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. until service time at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Bounds, 87, died Monday, December 16, 2019, at Neshoba County Hospital.  She was a native of Jasper County and a resident of Neshoba County since 1962. She was employed with Garan Garment Factory for several years.  Mrs. Bounds was a member of Sardis Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Lynda Stepp (Joe Mike) of Philadelphia; sons, Dwayne Bounds (Bonnie), Ray Bounds and Bill Bounds (Christy Lane), all of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Joanie Thomas (Jacob), Michael Stepp (Ashley), Cody Stepp (Amy), Chris Bounds (Amanda), Nikki Bounds, Josh Bounds, Zack Bounds, Landon Bounds, Caitlyn Bounds, Jayda Bounds, T.J. Bounds, Deidre Edwards (Jason) and Heather Bounds; 14 great-grandchildren; special niece, Gail Posey (Baron) of Philadelphia; and a host of other nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bounds was preceded in death by her husband, Melton R. Bounds; great-grandson, John Dylan Thomas; brother, Bobby McCraney; sisters, Geraldine Combest and Geneva McDonald. Pallbearers are Michael Stepp, Cody Stepp, Josh Bounds, Jacob Thomas, Nathan Dean and Jason Edwards.  Honorary pallbearers are Zack Bounds and Chris Bounds.
