Services for Mrs. Louise Smith will be held Monday, June 18, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Dwight Flemingofficiating. Burial will follow in Coldwater cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 17, 2018, from 5-8 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. McClain-Hays Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.Mrs. Smith, 81, of Philadelphia, died Friday, June 15, 2018 at her residence.She was a native of Montgomery, AL and grew up in Mt. Vernon AL until she moved to Jackson, MS early in life.She moved to Neshoba County after she married in 1965 where she worked in the retail industry for many years until her retirement. She is a member of New Pleasantdale Baptist Church in Philadelphia,MS.Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Tommy Smith of Philadelphia; son, David Earl “Scooter” Smith and wife Christyof Philadelphia; step-daughter, Theresa Stewart and husband Jimmie of Mize, MS; three grandchildren, Chloe Smith,Emmy Lou Smith and Ryan Cockrell and wife Brittany; two great-grandchildren, Eli Cockrell and Charlie Cockrell; sister, Patricia Melton of Star, MS; two brothers, David Martin and wife Dolly of Jackson, MS and Johnny Martin and wife Joyce of Sebastopol, MS and a host of nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by a grandson, Neal Cockrell; parents, Dee and Judy Martin; sister, Agnes Jones; two brothers,Buddy Martin and Jimmy Martin.Pallbearers are Charlie McInnis, Ricky Martin, Pat Martin, Steven Clark, Bernard Agent and Steve Cumberland.
