Laveeda Estes

Services for LaVeeda Elizabeth Estes will be held Friday, December 20, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Randy Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Mars Hill Cemetery in Winston County. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 19, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Estes, 67, died Monday, December 16, 2019, at Baptist Golden Triangle Regional Medical Center in Columbus. She was a native of Pascagoula, MS, and resided in Noxapater after marriage to her husband, Tonnie Earl Estes, who preceded her in death in 2005. She retired from Silver Star Casino where she worked as a dealer; and formerly worked in banking in Louisville, MS.  She was a former member of the Thursday Club of Walnut Grove.  Mrs. Estes was Baptist by faith. Survivors include sisters, Gwen Baskin of Theodora, AL, Benita May (Keith) of Memphis, TN, and Freida Estes of Noxapater; brothers, Larry Clark (Mary) of Moss Point, MS, and Randy Clark of Pascagoula, MS; numerous nieces, nephews, and their families. Mrs. Estes was preceded in death by her parents, James Wilson Clark and India Smith Clark; and her step-son, Little Tonnie Estes.
