Services for Kermit Mack Lofton will be held Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at 11 a. m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Dr. Dan Howard and Rev. Nels Norris officiating. Burial will follow in Carolina Cemetery in Neshoba County. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 9:30 until time for service at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Mr. Lofton, 74, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, January 14, 2018, at Trend Health & Rehab of Carthage in Carthage, MS. Kermit was a native and current resident of the Dixon Community of Neshoba County. He retired from McClain-Hays Funeral Service where he had worked as a Funeral Director for 25 years. He had also formerly worked at Big 10 Tire Stores in Meridian and Jackson. He was a member of Pine Grove Church Of God. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Faye Lewis Lofton of Philadelphia; son, Steve Lofton (Cindy) of Carthage; daughter, Jennifer McLelland (Todd) of Laurel; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Lynn Anthony; and brother, Pat Lofton. Mr. Lofton was preceded in death by parents, Curtis and Flora Lofton; sisters, Kathleen Kemp and Helen Stodghill; and brothers, A. G., Earl and Cotton Lofton. Pallbearers were Dale Lofton, Ronnie Lofton, Matthew Anthony, David Lofton, Logan McLelland, Johnny Johnson and Andy Lofton.
