Kent Clay

A funeral service for Carson Kent Clay will be held Sunday, February 26, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Bro. David Richardson officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until time of service. Burial will follow in Cedarlawn Cemetery. Mr. Clay, 77, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2023. Kent was born and raised in Neshoba County, MS. He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing, shooting his guns, and working on the farm with his cattle. He enjoyed visiting with his family and friends. Kent enjoyed working at Walmart and was a dedicated employee for 24 years. Survivors include his brother, Terry Don Clay; nephew, Craig Clay (Kim); nieces, Donna Glenn and Jamie Clay; great-nephews, Brad Clay (Maria), Wes Clay (Christina), Coltin Clay, Jordan Glenn, and Brock Glenn; great-nieces, Autumn Wooten (Benton), Gabby Glenn, and Neely Glenn; great-great-nephews, Eli and Jackson Clay; great-great niece, Adaline Clay. Mr. Clay was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Joe and Mattie Ola Little Clay; his beloved sister-in-law, Gaynell Carter Clay, and nephew, Ricky Clay. Pallbearers are Coltin Clay, Jordan Glenn, Brad Clay, Wes Clay, Bryant Creel, and Jason White. Honorary pallbearers are Jim Whittle and Jay Jayroe.
