Services for Kenneth Ellingburg will be held Sunday, August 15, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. from Herbert Baptist Church with Rev. Jackie Strebeck and Rev. James Edwards officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday, August 14, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 at McClain-Hays Funeral Home and at the church on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Ellingburg, 74, of Philadelphia, died Thursday, August 12, 2021, at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian. He was a native and longtime resident of Neshoba County. He began his career early in life with Weyerhaeuser while running his poultry and cattle farms. After 30 years with Weyerhaeuser he retired, but continued his farming. He loved to travel when he and his wife could. Mr. Ellingburg was a member of Herbert Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Sylvia Ellingburg; sons, Johnny Ellingburg and Lonnie Ellingburg, all of Philadelphia, MS; four grandchildren, Eric Ellingburg, Aaron Ellingburg, Gabriel Ellingburg, and Emmy Ellingburg; sisters, Fran Tribolet of Long Beach, CA, Nelda Johnson and Shirley Snow, both of Philadelphia, MS; brother, Joe Ellingburg of Mobile, AL; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Ellingburg was preceded in death by parents, Leon and Annie Ellingburg; granddaughter, Hailey Ellingburg; and sister, Jeanette Killens. Pallbearers are Eric Ellingburg, Bobby Vance, Warren Flake, Alan Flake, Cody Rogers, and Mark Clark.
