Services for David Penson will be held Thursday, December 17, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. from Pine Grove Church in Martin, MS, with Rev. Tommy Espy and Rev. Ray Spence officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Penson, 69, of Collinsville, died Tuesday, December 15, 2020, at University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. A native of Neshoba County, he was a graduate of Neshoba Central High School and attended East Central Community College. He was employed for over twenty years at Borden’s Milk Company and retired after working fifteen years for Maples Gas Company. Mr. Penson was a member of Pine Grove Church of Martin, MS, where he was an ordained deacon and served in various children’s ministry roles. He served in the Army National Guard. Survivors include his wife, Celesta Penson; daughter, Chastity (Steven) Williams, son, Chad (Kellie) Penson, grandchildren, Peyton (Callie) Penson, Landon Penson, and Hailey Brooke (Keenan) Hellesto; sisters, Brenda Gordon and Linda (Dwight) Page; brothers, Terry (Janice) Penson, Gary (Judy) Penson, and Don Penson. Mr. Penson was preceded in death by his parents, William Herman and Ruth Penson. Pallbearers are Terry Penson, Dwight Page, Patrick Harrison, Elmer Talbert, Jeremy Pogue, Richie Talbert, and Dale Talbert.
