Keeton Wade Barrett

Funeral services for Keeton Wade Barrett will be held Sunday, June 23, 2024 at 2 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Keith Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Rocky Hill Cemetery in Nanih Waiya. Visitation will be held Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Mr. Barrett, 45, of Selma, AL died Wednesday, June 19, 2024. Keeton was a native of Winston County and was a 1997 graduate of Demopolis, AL High School and received his certification from Nashville Auto and Diesel College in 2000. He worked in various jobs for several years until 2021 he began working for International Paper Company as a maintenance tech. Keeton enjoyed working on engines, hunting, fishing, grilling, visiting with family and friends and he never met a stranger. Survivors include his daughter, Piper Keeton Barrett of Wisconsin; mother and step-father, Laurel and George Jones of DeKalb; father, Jimmie Barrett of Philadelphia; sisters, Amanda Barrett Pettigrew (Perry) of Yazoo City and Heather Barrett Jones (Benjamin) of Nanih Waiya; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Pallbearers are Tommy Jones, Colton Barrett, Tyrome Tank, Andy Phillips, Donnie Chunn, Cody Barrett, Austin Barrett and Robbie Hughey.
