Funeral services for Katherine Bethany Neese will be held Friday, December 31, 2021, at 12:00 noon from Linwood Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Skinner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at Linwood Baptist Church. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Neese, 88, of Union, died Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at her home. Born and raised in Neshoba County, she lived in the Linwood Community most of her life and attended Linwood School. She drove a van for Medicaid to carry patients to their appointments and ran a paper route for 30 years. She loved jewelry and clothes. She enjoyed caring for others, especially her church family in years past. She dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Neese was a member of Linwood Baptist Church. Survivors include daughter, Barbara Wallace (Russell); and son, Michael Lee Neese (Pamela), both of Linwood, MS; 18 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia Jolly of Forest, MS; several nieces, nephews, and their families; sister-in-law, Mary Brinson of Star, MS; and brother-in-law, Jessie White of Mobile, AL. Preceding Mrs. Neese in death were her husband, V. L. Neese; sons, Arvis Neese, Tommy Neese, Ronald Neese; granddaughter, Star Neese; grandsons, Brayden Traxler, Caleb Neese, Eric Neese; sisters, Irma Webb, Pearl Skinner, Ruth Burroughs; brothers, Leroy Bethany, Ralph Bethany, Wilbur Bethany; and parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Bethany.
