Funeral services for Joyce Regina (Walden) Winstead will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 2 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Wayne Tate and Rev. Bill Raines officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery in House Community. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 12 noon until service time at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Mrs. Winstead, 73, of Union, died Thursday, January 11, 2024. She was a native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County and like to travel with friends. Mrs. Winstead was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church of House Community. Survivors include husband, Jerry Winstead of Union, MS; son, Thomas Walden; step-daughters, Vanessa Winstead, Janet Madison (Barry) and Laura Herrington (Vince); granddaughter, Savannah Williams (Dillon); grandson, Trinton Barfoot; nine step grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Will Moore; nieces, Crystal Tate (Wayne) and Brandy Moore; great niece, Hannah Tate; great nephew, Austin Tate; great great-niece, Kahlia Young. Mrs. Winstead was preceded in death by her first husband, James Walden; parents, Willard and Lola Dell Barton; sister, Brenda Moore; great-granddaughter, Hailey Renee Ellingburg. Pallbearers, Vince Herrington, Austin Tate, Will Moore, Terry Pinson, Dwight Page and Judd Young.
