Funeral services for Jonathan “Johnny” Elmer White will be held Thursday, June 29, 2023 at 11 a.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. David Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Bloomfield Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 29, 2023 at 10 a.m. until service time at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Mr. White, 63, of Philadelphia died Sunday, June 25, 2023. Johnny was a resident of Neshoba County for most of his life. He worked in the steel industry for 15 plus years and then was a truck driver until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Betty White of Philadelphia; sons, Clifford Williams (Angie) of Philadelphia, Roger Williams (Renee) of Meridian and Virgil Williams (Patricia) of Newton; 11 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; sister, Becky Campbell (Joe) of Forest; brothers, Mike White of Forest, Jerry White (Susan) of Madden and Greg White of Meadville; sister-in-law, Tassie White; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. White was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Dolly White; brother, Joe White. Pallbearers are Glenn White, Jamie White, Billy White, Gary White, Wade White and Todd Campbell. Honorary pallbearers are Joseph White, Joey Campbell and Bryan Campbell.
