Johnny Mitchell May

Johnny Mitchell May passed away on March 23, 2020, at his home in Kemper County. He was a mason and a member of Clarks Chapel United Methodist Church. He held a degree from Mississippi State University and was employed at East Mississippi State Hospital for over 15 years before retiring. Mr. May was the son of Hallaine May and the late Lester (Sonny) May. He is survived by his sisters, Suzanne Evans and husband Bill, Paula “Angel” Cash and husband Billy; fiancé Lanette Crocker; niece, Elizabeth Evans; and nephews, William Evans and Brett Evans. He was the grandson of the late Clark and Paula Mae Mitchell and Lester and Sadie May. A private memorial will be held at a later date.
