A graveside service for Johnnie Lee Irons will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 29, 2020, at the Bloomfield Cemetery in Neshoba County with Rev. Mark Cloys and Rev. Jeff Brewer officiating. Mr. Irons, 83, of Philadelphia, died Friday, March 27, 2020, at Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian. He was a native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County and a graduate of Bloomo High School. He worked 36 years for Weyerhaeuser until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working in his wife’s flowers, and most of all, being with his family. Mr. Irons was a member of East Philadelphia Baptist Church. Survivors include wife of 65 years, Louise Irons; children, Veronica Nance (Gary) and Verandel Irons (Krystal), all of Philadelphia; five grandchildren, Vermanda Fuller (Bill), Heath Nance (Kim), Seth Irons (Summar), Randa Fieber (Scott), and Hanna Irons; 10 great-grandchildren, Anslee Gray, Sadie Nance, Caleb Thames, Kennedy Irons, Hunter Fieber, Breland Fieber, Mackenzie Irons, Fletcher Irons, Will Henson (Lucy), and Billie Jean Wooten (Josh); eight great-great-grandchildren, Korbin, Maddi and Ryder Wooten, and Jacob, Lily, Elias, Serinity, and Bently Henson. Mr. Irons was preceded in death by parents, Ester and Willie Lee Irons; and grandchildren, Casey John Wayne Nance and Andrew Henson. Pallbearers are Seth Irons, Bill Fuller, Scott Fieber, Heath Nance, Caleb Thames, and Josh Wooten.
