Funeral services for Johnnie Louise Anthony will be held Sunday, July 2, 2023 at 2 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel. Burial will follow in McLain Chapel Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, June 30, 2023 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and also Saturday, July 1, 2023 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Mrs. Anthony, 72, of Philadelphia died Wednesday, June 28, 2023. Louise was a native of Neshoba County and went to Neshoba Central School. She spent most of her days taking care of her grandchildren, cooking for her family and cleaning. She was a great sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and a good person to everyone and she would brighten up the room when she entered. Survivors include her sons, Michael Ladd and Johnny Ladd both of Philadelphia; granddaughters, Dakota Ladd of Philadelphia and Madison Tullos of Union; grandsons, Danny and Ryan Ladd of Union; sisters, Mary Savell, Donna Belk (Scott) and Mechale Breazeale all of Philadelphia; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Anthony was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Anthony; grandson, Jesse Ladd; parents, Ailene Townsend and Ernest Savell; sisters, Audrey Dixon and Sylvia Curry; and brother, Leonard Savell.
