Memorial services will be held at a later date for John Pearson who passed away Tuesday December 31st. John Pearson, a lifelong resident of Laurel, Mississippi, passed away after a full and rewarding life. Born and raised in Laurel, John dedicated 30 years of his life working for the County of Newton. He was a man of many passions, particularly enjoying his guns and time spent working in his yard. Above all, John treasured his family, especially his grandchildren, who brought him immense joy and pride. John is survived by his wife, Alsie Pearson; children, Tommie (Scott) Everett; and grandchildren Zack Jenkins, Trinity Everett, Trevor Jenkins, Donovan Everett, Ethan Jenkins, and Raylan Everett. He is also survived by his brother, Joe Pearson, and his sister, LaDonna Rigdon. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Pearson Sr. and Josephine Cox, as well as his first wife, Barbara Pearson. John will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. His legacy of love and dedication will remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate to be a part of his life.
