John Wade Clark

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at 3:00 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. David Richardson officiating.  Visitation will be held Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the chapel.  McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Clark, 49, of Philadelphia, died Saturday, January 11, 2020. Born and raised in Flint, Michigan, John moved to Philadelphia at the age of 18.  He was a longtime employee of Hilton Spears Cabinets and was known as a hard working man. He loved antique cars, cutting grass, and being outside burning pine straw.  He loved being a Papa John to his grandson. John was a very giving individual and would help anyone. He was married to the love of his life for 28 years.  Mr. Clark was Baptist by faith. Survivors include his wife, Andrea Clark; daughter, Heather Clark (Mark Gross); sons, Levi and Tony Clark; grandchild, Kaden Gross; parents, Willie E. and Mary E Clark; brothers, Mark and Dale Clark. Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his grandparents, John Wesley and Berline Dorsey; and Robert and Ruby Clark.
