Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday August 31, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. from Mars Hill Baptist Church Cemetery Leake County, MS. Visitation will be held from 10:30- 11:00 a.m. at graveside on Wednesday. Mr. Joe Pat Mooney was born and raised in Leake County. He worked for Leake County Road and Bridge for 32 years. He loved to hunt and fish. He dearly loved his church and family. He was a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church in Leake County. He is survived by his sister, Martha Armstrong of Carthage; nephew, Barry Wilcher (Stephanie) of Carthage; niece, Charisse Wiggs (Wayne) of Crystal Springs; several great nieces, nephews and their families. He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Myrtle Mooney. Pallbearers are Barry Wilcher, Scott Wilcher, Trey Langston, Dempsey Hollis, Rocky Langston, Joseph Wiggs, Mike Stokes and Randy Chamblee.
