Joe M. Garrett

Graveside service for Joe M. Garrett will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. from Pine Grove Cemetery in the House Community of Neshoba County with Rev. Jack Giles officiating.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Garrett, 76, of Meridian, died Saturday, January 5, 2019, at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian. He was a native and longtime resident of Meridian, MS.  He was a retired truck driver for Nolan Sistrunk Trucking of Sebastopol.  Mr. Garrett was a member of Church Of The Way in Meridian.  He served with the U. S. Air Force in Vietnam.  Survivors include wife, Anita Garrett of Meridian; daughter, Deanna Branning (Chris) of Bailey; son, Stan Garrett (Pam) of Philadelphia; niece, Robin Apperson (Ken), Christie Ethridge (Chris); and nephews, Jeff Hall and Steve Persons. Mr. Garrett was preceded in death by parents, Joe and Mamie Garrett; and sister, Freda Hall.
