Services for Joe Burnett will be held Saturday, November 23, 2019, at 1 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Father Bob Goodyear officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery in Neshoba County. Visitation will be held Saturday from 11 a. m. until time of service. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Burnett, 83, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, November 20, 2019, at Neshoba County Nursing Home. He was a native of Neshoba County in the Tucker Community and a longtime resident of Jackson, MS. He retired from Vickers/Eaton Aerospace in Jackson, and moved back to Neshoba County twenty years ago. Mr. Burnett was Catholic by faith and attended Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He served in the U. S. Army. Survivors include sister, Kathy Coleman of Clinton; and numerous nieces, nephews, and their families. Mr. Burnett was preceded in death by his wife, Lola Coats Burnett; father, Joseph “Shine” Burnett ; mother, Leo Burnett Skipper; siblings, Jimmy Burnett, Mary Lynn White and John Pat Burnett. Pallbearers are Chuck Womack, Nick Womack, Bill Burnett, Noah Brown, John White and Jarred White.
