Graveside service for Jimmy Stovall will be held Wednesday, August 26, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. from Clarks Chapel Cemetery in Kemper County with Rev. Andrew Phillips officiating. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Stovall, 69, of DeKalb, died Monday, August 24, 2020, at his home. He was a native and lifelong resident of Kemper County. He worked in construction for most of his life and really enjoyed doing carpentry the last few years he worked. He loved to hunt, fish, garden, and being with his family. Mr. Stovall was a member of Spanish Oak Baptist Church in Kemper County. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Marsha Stovall of DeKalb; daughter, Kim (Grant) Lowe of Kosciusko; son, Justin “Turk” (Heather) Stovall of Philadelphia; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Shirley (J. D.) Teer, Jane Stovall and Polly (Robert) Smith, all of DeKalb; brother, Buck (Ellon) Stovall; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Stovall was preceded in death by daughter, Mindy Stovall; parents, Carlton and Eloise Stovall; and brother, David Stovall. Pallbearers are Hunter Luke, Grant Lowe, Greg Mitchell, Bruce Mitchell, Haigan Thompson and Warren Jenkins.
