Jim Wolverton

Funeral services for Jim Wolverton will be held Sunday, November 28, 2021 at 2 pm from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Corbin Jenkins and Rev. Nick Ulmer officiating. Burial will follow in Longino Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, November 27, 2021 from 5 to 7 pm at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Wolverton, 53, of Philadelphia, died November 24, 2021 at Neshoba County General Hospital. Jim was a native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County. He was a graduate of Philadelphia High School and attended East Central Community College. He worked for Taylor Machine Works for several years. Mr. Wolverton was a member of Longino Baptist Church. Survivors include his mother, Fay Wolverton of Philadelphia; sister, Lisa Jenkins (Boyd) of Carthage; Special Son, Dylan Hitt of Philadelphia; two nephews, Corbin (Reaghan) Jenkins and Cody Jenkins; 1 great nephew, Chasen Jenkins. Mr. Wolverton was preceded in death by his father, Harold Wolverton; grandparents, Cecil B. and Luna Agent, Marvin and Grace Wolverton. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Gideons International or your favorite charity. Pallbearers, Greg Nowell, Johnny Agent, Gilbert Brown, Adam Brown, Scott Stokes and Michael Wells.
