Services for Jim Sharp will be held Saturday, October 20, 2018, at 2 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Jerry Bishop and Rev. Jimmy Townsend officiating. Burial will follow in Center Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 11 a.m. until service time at McClain–Hays Funeral Home. Mr. Sharp, 72, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, October 17, 2018. He was born in Soso, MS, and was a longtime resident of Neshoba County. He was a carpenter and former owner of Sharp Building Supply of Philadelphia. Mr. Sharp was a member of Center Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include daughters, Tanya (Randy) Savell of Philadelphia, Crissy (Robert) Sloan of Philadelphia, Misty (Cricket) Taylor of Philadelphia; sons, Danny (Theresa) Sharp of Hattiesburg, James "Mimbo" (Christy) Sharp of Philadelphia, Robert (Kristy) Sharp of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Little Wes , Angel, Scott, Whitney, Daniel, Candy, Megan, Tosha, Shonda, Randy, Ike, Courtney, Bailey, Colby, Colt "Bam Bam", Lil Robert, Joshua, D.J., Terra Mae, Destiny, De’Ja, Lanie, Tyler; twenty great-grandchildren; sisters, Violet Holyfield of Laurel, Dorothy (Willis) Smith of Waynesboro, Martha(Henry) Jordan of Sevierville, TN, and Mary Hatcher of Meridian; brother, Glen (Judy) Sharp of McComb. Mr. Sharp was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. James Elmo and Mary Sharp; daughter, Kitty Dykes; son, Wesley Sharp; grandson, Cody Sharp; brother, Charles Sharp. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Robert Sharp, Jr., Daniel Sharp, Colby Sharp, Bam Bam Sharp, Ike Barrier, Joshua Sharp, Randy Savell, Jr., and D. J. Sharp.
