Jesse B. Doner

Services for Mr. Jesse B. Doner will be held Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at 2 p.m. from Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. J.R. Eaton , Rev. Albert McMullen and Rev. Mike Truhett officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, September 7, 2020 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home and one hour prior to service at Antioch Church. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Doner, 91, of Neshoba County, died Friday, September 4, 2020. He was a native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County and was a longtime manager of Acme Building Supply in Meridian and retired from Yates Building Supply in 1990. He enjoyed carpentry, wood work and fishing. Mr. Doner was a longtime member of Antioch Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher for over 50 years and he loved his church family. Survived by his sons, Barry Doner (Mignon) of Quitman, LA, Tim Doner (Janet) of Bailey, MS and Mark Doner (Sara) of Batesville, MS; grandchildren, Ashley Cotten (Buster), Amy Williams (Jason), Alyssa Bradford (Lewis), Jared Doner (Alexa), Georgia Townsend (Brandal), and Tracy Bright (Tim); great-grandchildren, Bryce and Brody Cotten, Evelyn Grace and Ethan Williams, Lilly Claire and Madilyn Lewis Bradford and a host of nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Mary Ethel Caraway Doner; parents, Lorenzo and Elma Doner; brother, Milton Leon Doner. Pallbearers are Jarod Doner, Brandal Townsend, Buster Cotten, Bryce Cotten, Tim Bright and Lewis Bradford. Honorary pallbearers are Lucky Chisolm, Jason Chisolm and Jason Williams.
