Jasper Cael Branning

Funeral services for Jasper Cael Branning will be held Monday, January 13, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. from Sandtown Methodist Church with Rev. Barry Male, Rev. Andy Stoddard, Rev. Kiah Hitt and Rev. John Branning officiating. Burial will follow in Sandtown Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 12, 2025 from 3:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Sandtown Methodist Church. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Jasper Cael Branning was born March 1, 2011 and departed for the church triumphant on January 7, 2025 and now rests in perfect peace from a world that offers little.

He was passionate about football and his Canton Academy team. An incredible source of knowledge and a lover of people. He lived out his faith through kindness, compassion, and generosity always believing in defending the underdog. Jasper loved music, his family, and the ability to learn new and amazing things. He will be missed by those of us who were able to have been a part of his life for the amount of time that we had with him. We know that he is in the hands of a merciful savior that is full of grace and love.

Survivors include his parents, John and Traci Branning; brothers, Billy Joe Branning II (BJ) and Aidan Branning; grandfather, James Jones (Barbara); aunts and uncles, JoAnn Nicholson (Mark), Stan Branning, Diane Winstead (Rev. Dudley), Shelly Wilcher (Howard) and Kristi Fox; 26 cousins and many dear friends.

Jasper was preceded in death by his grandfather, Rev. Joe Branning; grandmothers, Elizabeth Jones and Linda Branning.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Methodist Foundation of Mississippi for the Jasper Cael Branning memorial scholarship fund or Sandtown Methodist Church cemetery fund or a donation to your favorite charity.
